The Street Fair will begin at Equality Park and extend all the way down to Farewell Street. The day will be filled with exhibiting artists & makers, music, food,
and local non-profits. It will be a great day to stroll down Broadway and check out all the unique sights and sounds! I will be bringing new work, original seaweed collages, wood block prints, limited edition prints, ceramics, cards & ocean inspired jewelry!

Seaweed Pressing Workshop at Mystic Museum of Art

Get in touch with the marine environment and make your own seaweed pressing in beautiful Mystic, Connecticut! Learn about the history of seaweed pressings from the Victorian era and interesting information about marine algae! I will demonstrate techniques in arranging the seaweed decoratively on paper using local seaweed collected from the RI and CT coastlines. Participants will make two pressings that can be framed and hung at home.
Seaweed pressing kits, which are reusable, can be purchased from the instructor, at $25 for two kits.
