About the design:
Ascophyllum nodosum, more commonly called Rockweed, is a species of brown algae that is found along the New england coast tethered to the rocks. This important marine algae provides shelter and food for many sea animals like crabs, shrimp, and snails. They also help maintain water quality by reducing ocean acidification (high levels of carbonic acid) and protect the ecosystem by regulating these gasses to healthy levels. They are stewards of the sea!
