Did you know seaweed is seasonal? The specimens in New England waters relect the change of seasons; more maroons, browns and darker greens that are aligned with the cooler temperatures. This original pressing of seaweed was made with specimens I gathered at a shore access location in Portsmouth, RI, known locally as Pebble Beach. Some of the types of seaweed are: Chenille weed (because it resembles Chenille yarn), Irish Moss, Coralina and Sea Fern.
This piece is pressed and dried into 8 x 10" acid free watercolor paper and signed by the artist. It will be packed flat for shipping.
