This original and unique print of seaweed from the salty waters of Narragansett Bay brings a little bit of the ocean into your home! Multiple specimens of marine algae are placed on paper that has been coated with light-sensitive cyanotype emulsion and exposed to UV light. Additional ingredients used are soap bubbles and spices, like turmeric and sumac. This creates a fluid and ethereal setting for seaweed shapes to exist in the moment in this watery environment. Seaweed specimens used here are Irish Moss, Codium and Channel Wrack.
This piece is pressed and dried into 8 x 10" 100 % cotton rag watercolor paper and signed by the artist. It will be packed flat for shipping.
