About the design: This seaweed specimen was collected at the mouth of the Sakonnet River where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. Its scientific name is Agardhiella tenera, but is referred to commonly as Agardh’s Red. It is one of the most beautiful and delicate seaweeds found in these waters.
