Seaweed Pressing Workshop – Block Island | July 19
Join me for a creative experience inspired by the ocean! Using seaweeds gathered from Block Island's shores, we'll explore the beauty and diversity of marine algae while learning the art of seaweed pressing.
Along the way, we'll discover the role seaweeds play in coastal ecosystems and learn how generations of islanders gathered seaweed to enrich fields and gardens, weaving it into Block Island's natural and cultural history.
Participants will create two of their own pressed seaweed artworks to take home. No experience necessary; all materials are provided.
