About the design:
Collected from the waters of Block Island Sound, this collage is an aquatic interpretation of a rose. The red, undulating seaweed is Grinnell's Pink Leaf (Grinelia americana), the green wiry strands are commonly known as Mermaid's Hair, and the black spiky "thorns" are remnants of Rockweed.
